SafeHaven Humane Society is a nonprofit animal welfare organization based in Tangent, Oregon, serving the local community for more than five decades. It provides temporary shelter for animals, supports healthy adoptions, offers welfare information and humane education, and runs spay and neuter programs to control the population and reduce euthanasia. The organization operates within the nonprofit sector focused on animal welfare and upholds a principle that no adoptable or treatable animal should be euthanized due to space, time, appearance, or treatable conditions.

Its mission centers on finding homes, opening hearts, and educating minds to improve the lives of animals and people, with a vision that every adoptable, treatable companion animal has a loving home and that every loving home has the opportunity to care for a companion animal. The organization serves residents and their companion animals through programs and services that help families stay together and strengthen the humane-animal bond. In 2024, SafeHaven partnered with Subaru of Corvallis to extend support for pets, and its Thrift Store volunteers were recognized with a Medallion award—the highest honor in its awards program.
