Safety Engineering International (SEI) is a small motor vehicle parts manufacturer based in Goleta, California. Originating from a decade of rollover crash research, SEI developed the HALO device to reduce roof crush in rollover events by redistributing loads and reinforcing the B-pillar near the occupant area for light vehicles such as trucks, SUVs, and vans, with HALO reportedly having saved hundreds of lives in more than 20 countries.
