Sage Music is a San Antonio-based music school with a core faculty of eight instructors that offers an innovative curriculum blending traditional pedagogy with principles drawn from psychology, holistic approaches to health, and communal creativity. The program emphasizes developing instrument technique, body mechanics, and effective learning and practice methods to help students play with confidence and ease. The school was founded in 2012 by Jason Sagebiel, a critically acclaimed artist and MTNA-certified teacher. It serves students across guitar, piano, voice, violin, and cello, offering courses in composition, theory, and performance. Its facilities are designed to support practice and creativity, featuring acoustically treated practice rooms and a piano-teaching room with a Steinway. In 2020, the organization launched an online learning platform to broaden access.
