Sampson’s Prosthetic & Orthotic Laboratory is dedicated to providing quality patient care with comprehensive and state-of-the-art prosthetic and orthotic services.

We pride ourselves on the continuous compassion, support, and education we provide to our patients during recovery. To maximize mobility, comfort, and best possible outcomes, Sampson’s practitioners work closely with the patient’s entire health-care team including physicians, nurses, therapists, and family members. Each patient’s expectations and functional needs are considered as practitioners design and fabricate a device to meet those goals. Our OPIE Patient Satisfaction Survey results show that we are rated above the national average for the quality of work and services we provide.

Practitioners at Sampson’s are board-certified prosthetists and orthotists – qualified professionals who have successfully completed a rigorous examination process by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics & Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC). In addition to our practitioners being board certified, our facility also is ABC-accredited. Sampson’s is recognized for achievements in the areas of organizational management, patient care standards, quality assurance, supplier compliance, and facility and safety management. 

Leading the team at Sampson’s is Bill Sampson, CP. Bill has been a board-certified prosthetist since 1989 and has completed numerous continuing education courses, keeping abreast of the most recent advancements in prosthetics, computer-aided design, and manufacturing technology. 

Founded in 1968 by the late William Sampson, Sampson’s Prosthetic & Orthotic Laboratory serves patients in the Capital Region with offices in Schenectady, Albany, Amsterdam, Glens Falls, and Saratoga.
