Samueli Institute is a non-profit research organization and think tank dedicated to examining the safety, effectiveness, and integration of healing-oriented approaches within medical care. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, the institute conducts studies on natural products, nutrition and lifestyle, and mind–body practices, as well as traditional and complementary therapies such as acupuncture, manual therapy, and yoga, including consideration of the placebo effect in treatment outcomes.
