San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet was a small pre-professional ballet company based in San Antonio, Texas, operating from its founding in 1983 until August 2021. It produced two annual performances—a fall story-book ballet and a spring mixed-repertory concert that included student choreography—and auditioned dancers aged 9 to 25 for progression through Trainee, Apprentice, Junior Company, Senior Company, and Artist-in-Residence programs, with weekly training and rehearsals.
