In 1989 two Columbia and Lexington cardiology groups pooled their medical expertise to form the South Carolina Heart Center. They built the foundation for what has grown to be the largest private, cardiovascular practice in the Southeastern United States. With 27 cardiologist, a large number of which are sub-specialized in various areas of adult cardiology, 17 non-physician practitioners and support personnel numbering over 250, the South Carolina Heart Center with its six full time offices and 4 satellite office locations is an organization living up to our purpose "To Reduce the Impact of Cardiovascular Disease." The South Carolina Heart Center is dedicated to the early detection and aggressive management of cardiovascular disease in adults and is committed to providing, excellent patient care, education and developing state-of-the-art facilities to offer the very best in diagnostics and treatment for our patients.
