In 1954, Paul Schlosser, Sr. opened Schlosser Plumbing & Heating to meet the growing demand for quality, affordable plumbing and heating in the greater Newark, Delaware area.  With the later addition of air conditioning services, we became a one-stop shop for residential and light commercial customers.

When Paul Schlosser, Jr. took over the management of the company in 1980, he began bidding and performing larger commercial jobs with the help of Charles “Chip” Gruber.  With the addition of these larger jobs, our sizable base of residential and light commercial customers continued to grow.

In 1998, the company name was changed to Schlosser & Associates, Mechanical Contractors to reflect the broad range of projects that were being performed.

Today, Schlosser & Associates is still family owned and continues to provide a large range of services to existing and new customers. Whether it’s a steam line in a research lab, an office building HVAC system, or a homeowner’s hot water heater, our approach of applying appropriate technical expertise and common-sense pricing results in our #1 goal: a satisfied customer.

That’s the way it has been since 1954.

Schlosser & Associates recognition includes a Family Owned Business Legacy Award from the Delaware Business Times in 2019 and a Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Award from the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce in 2022.
