The U.S. government spends billions of dollars each year and is the world’s largest purchaser of goods and services. At the Schoolcraft College APEX Accelerator, we provide professional, no-cost consulting services to help companies compete for and win government contracts. APEX Accelerators offer government procurement consulting and training to entrepreneurs, technology startups, and established businesses. As a regional center, the Schoolcraft College APEX Accelerator serves companies located in Wayne, Oakland, Livingston, Washtenaw, and Monroe Counties in Michigan. The Wayne State University APEX Accelerator also serves companies headquartered in Wayne County. APEX clients receive services tailored to their goals, including assistance with: • Developing a competitive marketing strategy • Registering in government points-of-entry systems, including SAM.gov • Achieving cybersecurity compliance • Understanding Foreign Ownership, Control, and Influence (FOCI) • Building awareness of Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III • Navigating government innovation programs • Conducting federal, state, and local market research • Understanding solicitations • Reviewing proposals • Discussing pre-award and post-award responsibilities • Learning about SBA and DoD Mentor-Protégé Programs • Conducting federal procurement history research • Conducting National Stock Number (NSN), Federal Supply Class (FSC), and National Item Identification Number (NIIN) lookups* • Receiving subcontracting referrals The Schoolcraft College APEX Accelerator is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense.
