SCHUTZE & Associates, Inc. is an environmental consulting firm founded in the San Francisco Bay Area by Jan Schutze in 2000. Jan Schutze has a B.S. in Geology, an M.S. in Economic Geology, and is registered as a Professional Geologist in California. Mr. Schutze has 25 years of professional consulting experience in the areas of geological/environmental assessments and environmental remediation strategies.

SCHUTZE & Associates, Inc. provides comprehensive environmental services and produces reports that meet and exceed American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) criteria. These reports identify the existence or probability of contamination, its extent, and the options and associated costs for remediation. As qualified Environmental Assessors, SCHUTZE & Associates, Inc. has over 25 years of field experience, including:

- Supervision of projects requiring environmental and geological hazard assessment and subsequent remediation of the sites
- Experience in applying appropriate California Department of Education (CDE) and Educational Code requirements when evaluating school sites/facilities
- Experience in running projects under oversight of the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)
- Completion of projects requiring environmental assessment reports, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Preliminary Endangerment Assessments, and Phase II Soil and Groundwater Investigations
- Analysis and monitoring of groundwater, with preparation of reports for regulatory agencies
- Development of environmental remediation strategies, with implementation of Remedial Action Plans and Corrective Action Plans to ensure regulatory compliance, and safe site cleanup procedures
