Our unique practice is focused on serving a limited number of private investors, family offices, private equity funds, venture capital investors, institutional investors, and entrepreneurs active in domestic and international markets, as well as foreign and domestic fund sponsors. 

An important part of our practice is the representation of active and retired executives and founders of corporations referred to us by the law firms representing those corporations, as well as their family members, heirs, or investment offices. We also serve as counsel on private investments for select U.S. and non-U.S. clients of trust companies, private wealth managers, multi-family offices and estate planning lawyers serving U.S. and non-U.S. families.

Our core practice areas include private equity and venture capital investments, co-investments, club deals, and secondary sales, complex private equity fund formation, private fund investments, negotiation of side letters, negotiation, drafting and furnishing of legal opinions for transactions, hedge fund formation, mergers and acquisitions, formation of holding companies, limited partnerships and other companies in the U.S. and worldwide, structuring and advising family offices, advising on sustainable and socially responsible investing, corporate social responsibility, advising investors on public company shareholder engagement, advising issuers in private placements and securities offerings, cross-border investment structuring and emerging markets transactions, as well as foreign investment in the United States.

Our founder, Kenneth Schwartz, is also involved in work related to the nexus of investments, capital, ESG, SRI, CSR, shareholder engagement, corporate governance, corporate partnering, ecological justice, stewardship, faith, mission, diversity, and international human rights.
