Since 2002 the Seattle Police Foundation (SPF) has championed public safety in Seattle. The foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to supporting and strengthening the work of the Seattle Police Department (SPD) through philanthropy, advocacy, and building strong community partnerships.
   
 •  Mission: To raise support and awareness for the Seattle Police Department.
 •  Vision: To promote public safety by supporting and providing resources for the professional development of Seattle Police Department employees and creating partnerships that foster community participation in enhancing the safety of Seattle.

Consistent with its mission and bylaws, the Foundation supports the Seattle Police Department by providing supplemental funding to advance the mission and goals of the Department. In addition, the foundation provides funding to officers and civilian staff through program grants that emphasize community building, crime prevention, officer wellness, and support to children and families in need.

The Seattle Police Foundation (SPF) was founded to help the Seattle Police Department cultivate meaningful relationships with the community, improve employee development, and help provide the latest in equipment and technology to ensure officer safety and enhance the service they provide to our community every day.
