Organized in 1978, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is a private, not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization. Second Harvest’s mission is to nourish and empower people so they can thrive. We distribute food to our neighbors through our Partners including after-school programs, soup kitchens, senior centers, and other nonprofits. Our Partners are strategically selected to serve our neighbors in the most effective, ethical, and holistic way possible. We are committed to working toward a community where everyone is food secure and zero food is wasted.
