Seeding Labs is a Boston-based nonprofit operating in the international trade and development sector with a focus on strengthening science capacity in developing countries. Its Instrumental Access program distributes donated laboratory equipment and supplies to researchers and institutions, supporting research, teaching, and institutional capacity-building to address development challenges. Since its program began, the organization has coordinated more than 132 shipments to 100 universities and institutions in 39 countries, with the donated instruments worth more than $44 million and benefiting thousands of scientists and students. In August 2025, Seeding Labs announced a partnership with the Schlumberger Foundation to donate instruments to the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti in Nigeria. The nonprofit operates with a small to mid-sized team and collaborates with hundreds of corporate partners to make these instrument shipments possible.
