Seton Hill University is a mid-sized Catholic, coeducational liberal arts institution located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, about 35 miles from Pittsburgh. Founded by the Sisters of Charity, it serves more than 2,000 students and seeks to develop their ability to think critically, act creatively, and contribute ethically to society. The university blends liberal arts with focused study in a major, offering more than 80 undergraduate programs, online bachelor’s degrees and certificates for adults, and master’s and doctoral degrees across five schools: Business; Health Professions and Natural Sciences; Humanities; Education and Applied Social Sciences; and Visual and Performing Arts.

It emphasizes small classes and personalized support, all offered at a cost intended to be lower than some state institutions, with extensive alumni services that include ongoing career and professional development at no charge. The university reports a 98% career placement rate for graduates, and its top majors include Medical Studies, Business Management, Psychology, and Exercise Science. In 2026, Seton Hill announced a collaboration with St. Genevieve Parish that allows participating students to earn college credit for civic engagement work, reflecting the institution’s emphasis on applied learning and community involvement.
