Friends since childhood, builder Lucas Robertson and architect Tim Pingree founded Shake in 2017 to marry their parallel disciplines into a seamless, holistic approach to design and construction.

We strive to create projects that are carefully designed and built to exceed owners’ expectations, and that contribute positively to the surrounding community and greater environment. The foundation of our approach is a deep respect for context - both regional and historic - which we look to constantly as we grapple with project goals and constraints. We believe in design and craftsmanship that is distinctly modern yet rooted in this appreciation of context. We are passionate about creating spaces that will be used, cherished, and therefore preserved for generations.
