In early 2000 Rima Khan noticed a need in her passion of the beauty field for eyebrow threading which was gaining popularity quickly in the United States. She decided to launch her first full service salon in 2003 on the North Side of Chicago offering eyebrow threading as a niche service among other beauty services.

As the salon became successful she decided to take a big risk and start offering eyebrow threading services at kiosks in malls. Rima launched her first s.h.a.p.e.s Brow Bar® in Chicago's Ford City Mall in January of 2004 which would change the landscape within the beauty services industry. Armed with the technique of shaping brows naturally, a low price point that shoppers found irresistible and a solid marketing strategy, s.h.a.p.e.s Brow Bar® quickly took root. We proudly stand at over 60 locations spread across six states (AZ, CA, GA, IL, NJ & TX) and rapidly growing every year.

Today s.h.a.p.e.s is the most successful brand among the salons that offer eyebrow threading as their niche service in the United States. We have become a leading choice among people who are looking for quick and cost effective  makeover services that enhance beauty and wellness.
