In 2007, the firm was renamed SHIROKI North America, Inc., with the Smithville site designated as the North American headquarters. Following AISIN SEIKI's subsumption of Shiroki Corporation, the North American unit became part of AISIN SHIROKI Corporation in 2016 within the AISIN Group.
