The operation expanded from a single Tennessee site to a second plant in Dalton, Georgia in 1995 and a third in Gordonsville, Tennessee by late 2006. In 2007, the firm was renamed SHIROKI North America, Inc., with the Smithville site designated as the North American headquarters. Following AISIN SEIKI's subsumption of Shiroki Corporation, the North American unit became part of AISIN SHIROKI Corporation in 2016 within the AISIN Group.
