As the company has developed, it has also attracted a loyal non-Muslim customer base, people who are attracted by the stylish, modest clothing SHUKR offers. SHUKR is an Arabic word found in the Qur’an which means gratitude or thanks. God mentions in the Qur’an: "If you give thanks (shukr), I shall certainly increase you" (Qur’an 14:7). The company SHUKR was named as a means of reminding ourselves and others of this important Qur’anic word and principle.
