Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship is a volunteer-driven nonprofit based in Quincy, California, founded in 2003 to develop and maintain trails across the Lost Sierra and surrounding national forests. The organization aims to foster sustainable outdoor recreation and community engagement through trail work, stewardship initiatives, and related events. Through volunteer crews, SBTS has built 176 miles of new trail, maintained 2,302 miles, and logged about 122,000 volunteer hours in the Lost Sierra. It also operates Yuba Expeditions, a shuttle and bicycle demo business based in Quincy. In 2024 the group released a draft Trails Master Plan outlining components of its Connected Communities project.
