SEMSA is a Reno, Nevada based private, not-for-profit corporation that provides a variety of services associated with emergency medical services (EMS).

SEMSA operates the ambulance service in Lassen County, California; owns RIGGS Ambulance Service in Merced County, California and manages the West Side Community Health Care District in Stanislaus County, California.  It also provides ancillary services in support of other ambulance services throughout Central California.  SEMSA also operates MedExpress, a wheelchair transport service in Reno, Nevada

SEMSA also operates the International Center for Prehospital and Disaster Medicine which provides a wide array of educational offerings for EMS agencies including tactical EMS.  It is also a designated regional training center for the National Disaster Life Support series of classes.  SEMSA is under contract with the State of Nevada to develop a bridge program for military medics to achieve civilian credentialing as paramedics or EMT's.

SEMSA offers a wide array of consulting services to the EMS community on virtually any topic EMS may need.  Its executive staff have a combined over 100 years of EMS leadership experience at all levels of EMS and in virtually all system designs.
