At Signum, the foundation of our practice is relationships - with each other as partners, with our our talented and dedicated staff, with our valued clients and with our community. Above all, we are dedicated to telling our clients’ stories and helping them realize their passions through architecture.

As a boutique firm, we are able to dedicate ourselves as partners to every project, supported by our team of intelligent, inquisitive thinkers and energetic problem solvers. Our unconventional routes to architecture, informed by travel and discovery, enable us to think outside the box, often pushing the language of architecture to achieve something greater. 

As architects, we are inspired by our connection to our environment. Our approach to sustainability is naturally derived, as we strive to create projects that are inspired by our clients’ vision and driven by the dictates of the land.  We are proud to have designed Hall Wines and CADE Estates, the first and second LEED Gold wineries in California, and Jarrod is a pioneering expert in the use of Passive House Technology in the United States.

Our process is deeply collaborative. Each of our clients is a partner in a unique journey, and inevitably, our clients become our friends. We live and work in the wine country, and are deeply connected to the community. We have purposefully immersed ourselves in the business of wine and hospitality in order to develop an authentic understanding of our clients’ needs.
