SIMCO Engineering, D.P.C. was founded as an independent consulting practice offering high-quality consulting in transportation engineering and planning to both private and public clients in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan region. Over the past several years, we have expanded our professional services to include construction management, site and civil engineering, and bridge inspection. Our Transportation Engineering and Transportation Planning Divisions offer a full range of specialized planning services, including traffic data inventories, traffic impact analysis, parking studies, safety/crash analysis, signal design, sign design, pavement markings, traffic operation simulation (CORSIM, Vissim, Synchro, TRANSYT, PASSER, etc.), highway design, construction staging sequencing, and MPT plans. We have extensive experience in providing expert transportation services on an “as-needed” basis to government agencies, including PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, TBTA, NYCT, MNR, and LIRR. Our Construction Management Division provides full resident engineering inspection and construction management services for infrastructure projects. Our projects range from field office staffing and project management to providing technical support. Our site and civil engineering experience includes conceptual design, contract documents, bid support, and construction support services. We develop technical specifications, general plans, typical sections, civil details, grading and drainage, MPT, traffic signal design, signing and pavement markings, soil erosion and sediment control plans, and demolition plans. We also provide bridge inspection services and have NYSDOT-qualified team leaders and assistant team leaders trained specifically for this purpose.
