What began as a single invention has become an entire product line. When Alfred E. Smalley, Sr. invented and
patented a nut-shelling machine in 1930, it was the beginning of Smalley’s entire sanitary-conveying line.
Throughout Smalley’s history, the attitude of providing exceptional value for customers has set it apart from the
competition. The modern designs of today’s sanitary conveying and storage system retain the investment value
so important to the customers of the 30’s and 40’s. The people who are Smalley Manufacturing promise a

Today, Smalley Manufacturing is located in a modern, 46,000-square-foot facility on five acres. The up-to-date
manufacturing and engineering techniques used to produce its products have kept pace with today’s fast growing technology. Smalley’s AutoGlide®horizontal motion conveyor, and the VersaLift free-wheeling
bucket elevator are examples of the superior level of products offered.
