Welcome to SMA Mineral We supply limestone- and dolomite based products for many different customers and applications. Our largest customers are leading companies in the steel-, mining- and pulp and paper industry. In their production processes, lime is an essential ingredient. Other typical applications are flue gas cleaning, water purification and agriculture -to mention a few. Another one is lake liming, a method to adjust the ph-level of the water. Our customers can enjoy a complete service including spreading by boat or helicopter. SMA Mineral has a totally integrated production, from own stone quarries to turn key deliveries at our customers premises. Our production units and terminals are located to achieve highest efficiency in the supply chain and to minimize the environmental footprint. Well-developed logistic solutions is an essential part of our offers. The company, founded 1932, entered the mineral business 1980 by acquiring a limestone quarry in Persberg, Sweden. Since then, SMA has grown to become one of the leading suppliers in Northern Europe and has today some 250 employees, 23 production units and offices in 5 countries. The head office is still located in Persberg, right in the heart of the Swedish mining and mineral industry.
