Smart Works Reading operates as part of a UK charity focused on professional training and coaching for women, providing an interview outfit, one-to-one coaching, and confidence-building to improve job prospects. Based in Reading, Berkshire, the branch supports women ahead of interviews; since its opening in 2015 it has helped 1,780 women in Berkshire, while the wider charity has established 11 centres across the UK and supported more than 30,000 women. Each client receives a complete outfit free of charge to keep, in addition to personalized interview coaching. Smart Works uses a data-informed approach and has a Three-Year Plan started in 2022 to double its annual impact, aiming to help 10,000 women per year across the UK by 2025. In 2025, the organization expanded its network through new partnerships, including a charity collaboration with Headstar Group to support Smart Works Leeds.
