SmartVet develops, manufactures, commercializes and markets veterinary medicines and vaccines. We improve the productivity of livestock by using our proprietary delivery platforms to optimize the application of our specialized veterinary therapeutics, thereby helping to increase global protein production.
We approach every solution from a practical perspective – “how can we make this product easy to use, efficient and cost-effective?”  Our team has designed and field tested the VetGun Delivery System on three continents, under the most rigorous working conditions. The VetGun discharges a softgel encapsulated VetCap out to a range of about 30 feet. The VetCap bursts on impacting the target animal, efficiently delivering a payload formulation of parasiticide onto the surface of the skin providing immediate relief from common blood-feeding parasites such as horn flies and sucking lice. The VetGun Delivery System makes it safe and convenient for one person to treat hundreds of animals per day, with minimal stress to the animals.  Making product delivery simple and efficient means treatment can now be timed for delivering the maximum therapeutic impact. Research has shown that optimizing treatment timing can improve animal productivity by over 20%. In a world where there is increasing pressure to produce more from limited available resources, the combination of SmartVet’s patented VetGun Delivery System and its pipeline of optimized topical formulations, could have a major impact on livestock productivity worldwide.  AiM-L VetCaps containing the pour-on Lambda cyhalothrin have been approved by the EPA and will be available with the VetGun throughout the US in 2014 with the exception of the states of AK & NY. Both VetGun and AiM-L VetCaps are distributed exclusively through AgriLabs.
