Founded in 1972, Smith Fertilizer & Grain (SFG) is a third-generation, family-owned agribusiness serving the farming communities of South Central Iowa. What began as a single-location operation has grown into a multi-division company with more than 80 full-time employees and facilities across Albia, Centerville, Columbia, Melcher-Dallas, Milo, and Pleasantville.

SFG provides full-service agricultural solutions in fertilizer, feed, and grain, along with road maintenance and environmental products through our SFG Road Maintenance division. We’re proud to partner with farmers, municipalities, and commercial clients to deliver reliable, high-quality products and personalized service.
