South Western Sydney PHN is a not-for-profit health organisation based in Campbelltown, New South Wales, operating within the hospitals and health care sector. It supports general practitioners, practice nurses, and other primary health providers to improve the quality and accessibility of local health care for the community. Serving seven local government areas in southwestern Sydney, it is one of 31 primary health networks established across Australia to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of local health services through planning and collaboration with local clinicians and the South Western Sydney Local Health District. The organisation aligns its work with national priorities in mental health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, population health, health workforce, eHealth, and aged care, and tracks headline indicators such as avoidable hospital admissions, immunisation, cancer screening, and mental health treatment rates. Through its Comprehensive Needs Assessment, SWSPHN identifies local priorities including mental health, chronic disease, tobacco control, overweight and obesity, cancer, pregnancy and the early years, strengthening prevention, advocacy, information, workforce, Aboriginal health, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and aged care. In 2026, SWSPHN expanded its leadership capacity through a partnership with Red Wolf Group to support strategy, culture, and values alignment.
