Southern Star is a leading transporter of natural gas to America’s heartland, with about 5,800 miles of natural gas transmission pipeline in the Midwest and Mid-Continent regions of the U.S. Our pipeline system, facilities and employees are located in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska and Texas, with our headquarters in Owensboro, KY.

We have provided 120 years of continuous, quality service since our formation in 1904. Highly sought after due to our consistently strong performance, desirable location in America’s heartland, and quality of service, we have been owned by various entities and undergone several name changes over the last century, but our reputation for safe, reliable quality service has remained constant. We are a locally managed private company owned by Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Ullico, Inc.

We’re also committed to our communities. Southern Star employees serve as mentors to students, help reconstruct towns after natural disasters, volunteer with local charitable organizations and coach children’s teams. We’re neighbors and friends, and we support volunteerism and provide time for employees to make a difference where they work and live.
