Southgate Financial Services is an independent financial services firm which provides financial planning and investment services to individuals and families and employee benefits programs to small companies.  We have two specialties -- retirement and socially responsible impact investing.  Many of our clients combine these two services.  For example, we can design a 401(k) plan for a company which has socially responsible impact investing options.  We also help individuals who are saving for retirement as well as those who are near retirement or already retired to create portfolios which provide stable and predictable income and which also align with their personal values.  We have found that it is possible to participate in shareholder activism to encourage large companies to help make the world better while having little or no negative impact on investment returns.
