Southwest Transplant Alliance is a nonprofit in the hospitals and health care sector, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Founded in 1974, the organization fulfills the gifts of organ and tissue donation by coordinating the recovery of organs and tissues to save and heal lives. To date, STA has facilitated the recovery of more than 35,000 lifesaving organs and thousands of healing tissues. The STA Foundation, established in 2018, provides care for families, community education, and research in transplant science. STA serves more than 10 million Texans across North Texas and regions including Beaumont, Bryan/College Station, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Galveston, Midland/Odessa, Temple, Tyler and Wichita Falls. In 2026, the organization partnered with Medical City Frisco and other nonprofit entities to host organ donor registration opportunities across North Texas, highlighting ongoing community outreach.
