Our organization serves 10 counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania. We keep the region connected and moving forward by helping to plan for its future.

As the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), Local Development District (LDD), and Economic Development District (EDD) for Southwestern Pennsylvania, we serve Allegheny (including the City of Pittsburgh), Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland counties.  

We work with government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels, as well as non-profit organizations and community groups. We develop the region's Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP), which support coordinated transportation efforts amongst the 10 county region. 

Additionally, we partner with organizations to deliver coordinated economic development services including loan programs, government procurement assistance and export assistance for companies looking to expand their business.
