Spain-Holiday.com was founded in 2002 as an online marketplace for holiday rentals. The founder Claus Sorensen, was a pioneer within the holiday rentals space in Spain. During the years the website was expanded into 13 languages managed by a professional team in Malaga and Denmark. Yearly, more than 24 millions holiday guests generated +400.000 bookings and enquiries yearly. The website managed 25.000 holiday homes, 95% of them instant bookable, and its success has featured many times in Spanish and international press. The company came successfully through COVID without any losses and as a result of strong performance and a steady growing bottomline the company became an attractive asset and was acquired by Holidu Gmbh, in the summer of 2021.
