Spirit League operates as a sports league focused on athletes with autism and other developmental disabilities. Its programs provide year-round opportunities through a Youth Program offering three sports per year—basketball, baseball, and soccer—and an Adult Program offering five sports per year, including bowling, basketball, volleyball, and flag football. The organization aims to create a supportive community where participants can thrive beyond just competition, emphasizing development and inclusion. Based in Mission Viejo, California, Spirit League has been active since 2004 and serves participants in the broader sports and recreation instruction sector. The group employs staff to support its programs and coordinates activities through its website, aiming to connect families and participants with ongoing athletic opportunities. A recent development noted is the appointment of Scott Chancellor as part of the organization’s player-related activities in early 2023.
