More than six decades ago, in 1951, a group of community-minded individuals began work to ensure the future of the City of Spokane's park system. The end result was the Spokane Park and Recreational Foundation - created specifically to provide financial support for parks and recreation.

Today, the Spokane Parks Foundation, as we have come to be known, is involved in projects not only in the City of Spokane, but throughout the greater Spokane area, supporting park-related endeavors for municipalities through the County. As an independent, non-partisan advocate we fill the gaps between what our parks need to thrive and what annual budgets can provide. We currently serve 110 parks - providing the dollars to ensure that everyone can enjoy these valuable community assets for generations to come.
