The Springville Museum of Art is Utah’s first art museum, established in 1937 with a mission to present quality, life-affirming art and to foster growth through the creative process and positive cultural values. Its permanent collection spans 150 years of Utah art alongside twentieth-century Soviet Realist and American art, and the museum also hosts juried exhibitions of contemporary Utah art. Located in Springville, Utah, the institution serves visitors, donors, members, and volunteers who support its efforts to refine minds and build character through fine art. The museum has a history rooted in community-driven initiatives, beginning with donated works and a student-led program that funded acquisitions, and continues to expand its cultural and educational offerings in response to local interest. In recent years, it has continued to engage the broader regional arts community, including participation in notable events such as the annual Utah All-State High School Art Show.
