Sprout is an organization that creates urban agriculture. We establish educational spaces for students and community members to learn about food systems via hands on interactions. Currently Sprout is working with two schools in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, developing programs to empower city youth to pursue careers in farming, sustainability and food justice. 

Sprout partners with local schools to develop educational programming to teach plant care, nutrition, and environmental stewardship. Sprout's summer programming connects students and their families with food production during peak growing season to help establish a deeper understanding of how to care for plants and the process of harvesting. Throughout the school year Sprout helps schools develop and maintain a variety of projects, including composting, herb gardens, and greenhouses.
