SSC Venture Partners is a venture capital fund made up of BC alums who love entrepreneurship and want to see BC alumni and students successfully launch their own companies. Since 2014, SSC Venture Partners has offered seed funding, a summer accelerator, office space, and mentorship to hundreds of startups with Boston College founders.

SSC Venture Partners is uniquely positioned to help launch BC founder led ventures. With a general partnership made of seasoned entrepreneurs and investors, and an LP base of dozens of high net worth BC alumni investors, SSC Venture Partners can invest in promising startups and make connections to relevant mentors, investors and advisors.

We invest in two stages of the value creation cycle:

1.    The first is our earliest stage funding mechanism in which we invest in a handful of young startups a year who participate in our summer accelerator program. The Summer Accelerator is an immersive twelve-week program in which the SSC provides a $10k investment, mentorship, and educational programming in exchange for 2% equity.

2.    The second model is a more traditional seed and pre-seed investment of $50-100k. 

In order to be a candidate for either mechanism of funding, one or more of a company's founders need to be BC alumni, students, staff, or faculty.
