St Barnabas House is an independent charitable hospice located in Worthing, West Sussex. It provides end-of-life care for adults with advanced, progressive life-limiting conditions, delivering services both at its 20-bed inpatient unit and in the local community. Serving Worthing and the wider area—Adur, Arun and Henfield—the organization relies on a multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, doctors, social workers, counselors, a Chaplain, physiotherapists, complementary therapists, an Artist-in-Residence, Hospice at Home staff and volunteers. Care is oriented toward addressing physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs, with offerings such as pain control, symptom relief, skilled nursing, counseling, spiritual care, physiotherapy and bereavement support. Its services span a 20-bed inpatient unit, Day Hospice with 18 places, Hospice at Home, Community Palliative Care and Family Services, and the Living Well Service was introduced in 2021 as an evolution of Day Hospice; patients and families are not charged for the care.
