St. Charles Parish Hospital is owned by Hospital Service District No. 1 of St. Charles Parish, a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana, and managed by Ochsner Health System. Located in Luling, Louisiana, just 20 minutes from New Orleans, St. Charles Parish Hospital is a not-for-profit 59 bed acute care facility. Since 1959, St. Charles Parish Hospital has been providing quality healthcare to the residents of this community and the surrounding areas and is proud to be fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). In 1992, a medical office building, The David J. Vial, MD Medical Center, was added to the hospital campus, providing space for outpatient services and several medical specialties, including Gastroenterology, Outpatient Endoscopy, Nephrology and Podiatry. To continue meeting the healthcare needs of all St. Charles Parish residents, Plantation View Medical Offices was opened in 2016 located on the Eastbank at 13100 River Road in Destrehan, Louisiana. The following medical specialties are currently available: Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Urology, Pediatrics, Pharmacy and Urgent Care.
