Located on the corner of Fremont and Dickens, the St. James campus houses two buildings: the church at 2050 North Fremont Street and school at 2101 North Fremont Street. Serving Chicago since 1869, the church has sought to create a caring community in the urban context that is welcoming and inviting. Included in the community is a school that serves families with children in preschool through eighth grade and is dedicated to enhancing the intellectual, social and emotional growth of its students. As the oldest, continuously operating school in the city of Chicago, it boasts a proud heritage of providing a quality Christian education to children from the community. St. James’ mission is to reach out with Christ’s love to the people of the city, and to create a community of faith here in Chicago.
