At St. Margaret’s Health, we are a network of care in a community of promise. Since 1903, in union with our sponsors, the Sisters of Mary of the Presentation (SMP), we have carried on the apostolic mission given to us by our founders and that is something that will never change. In other words, we are inspired by our faith to care for all life. 

Part of our mission also includes keeping up with the latest in healthcare trends and assessing the needs of patients as the landscape of healthcare changes and grows. While the hospital itself consists of almost 200,000 square feet, St. Margaret’s Health also reaches out to areas not close enough for routine and emergency healthcare with a system of St. Margaret’s Health clinics, as well as, two walk-in facilities for minor illnesses and injuries.

Nestled near the banks of the Illinois River, St. Margaret’s Hospital currently has a courtesy and consulting medical staff of over 100 physicians and a network of primary and specialty physicians. With almost 700 employees, St. Margaret’s Health is one of the top employers in the area.
