St. Thomas Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), provides comprehensive primary care for both insured and uninsured patients in the New Orleans area. VISION. To improve the health of the underserved in New Orleans. PATIENTS. We accept most private insurance plans, as well as Medicaid, Medicare, and GNOCHC. We also offer services on a sliding scale for uninsured and underinsured. QUALITY. St Thomas CHC has been recognized by the National Council for Quality Assurance as a Level 3 Patient Centered-Medical Home. Level 3 is the highest level possible and is the Gold Standard in health care quality. SERVICES. St. Thomas CHC offers a full range of preventive and primary care services. In addition to the primary care services of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, St. Thomas CHC also offers OB/GYN, Mammography, Optometry, Cardiology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, and Mental Health Services. APPOINTMENTS. The clinic offers same day appointments to established patients whenever possible, and strives to accept as many new patients each week as possible.
