St. Vincent de Paul Louisville is a mid-sized nonprofit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky, that provides practical help to people in need without regard to background or faith. It offers a continuum of care that spans food, shelter, affordable housing, counseling, programs for at-risk youth, and emergency financial assistance with rent and utilities. Its services target individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction, mental illness, or other crises, with the goal of fostering self-sufficiency. The organization operates a network of facilities and programs, including a community kitchen known as Open Hand Kitchen, a pantry that allows clients to select items, an overnight shelter for men (Ozanam Inn), a women's recovery center named St. Jude, four thrift stores, and the Family Success Center for after-school enrichment, as well as supportive housing for homeless families and adults. The downtown campus coordinates shelter and housing options with professional case management to address the underlying drivers of chronic poverty and homelessness, such as disability, addiction, and mental illness. In September 2025, St. Vincent de Paul Louisville launched Stock the Shelves, an initiative to keep its pantry stocked with the most-needed items on a monthly basis.
