Stack’s Bowers Galleries conducts live, online, and specialized auctions of rare U.S. and world coins and currency, including ancient coins, and also sells through retail and wholesale channels. With an 80-year history, the firm has cataloged and sold many high-value coin and currency collections that have appeared at auction, including notable collections such as The D. Brent Pogue Collection and The Eliasberg, Sr. Collection. The company is headquartered in Irvine, California, and maintains offices in New York, Wolfeboro, Hong Kong, and Paris. Its customers include collectors, institutions, and dealers seeking rare numismatic items, and it supports them through cataloging and sales across auction, retail, and wholesale formats. In January 2026, Stack’s Bowers launched an online marketplace and a collection management tool to provide a secure, end-to-end solution for buying, selling, organizing, and tracking certified coins and banknotes.
