Starfish is an artist-led nonprofit building essential creative infrastructure for a changing cultural landscape. We support mid-career artists from marginalized communities with funding, strategic guidance, and artist-owned tools that enable creative and economic sovereignty. Our mission is to back cultural architects forging new pathways beyond extractive systems.

We've developed a bespoke model that adapts to the individual needs of mid-career artist-entrepreneurs and media-tech startups. Our approach is designed to nurture creativity, foster innovation, and unlock untapped markets, specifically supporting the creative IP of historically overlooked and undervalued artist-entrepreneurs. Our approach is rooted in radical ownership, innovation, and community building. We believe that artists should own their work, have access to diverse funding options, and cultivate a strong community of fans and supporters committed to them and their artistic visions.

Our goal is to create a network of diverse storytellers who make a positive impact on the world through their unique artistic visions, and believe that economic autonomy is key to achieving this goal. By empowering artists to have control and ownership over their work, we enable them to tell their stories their way.
