Start The Adventure In Reading (STAIR) is a New Orleans based, non-profit literacy program that offers free tutoring to young students who aren't meeting critical grade level reading benchmarks.  STAIR’s mission is to improve the reading skills and self-esteem of lower elementary school students. We do so through one-on-one tutoring and a proven curriculum. STAIR aims to improve high school graduation rates, among other milestones, that become improbable if 3rd grade reading benchmarks are not met.
