Stories Illuminated™ began life as Najafi Design, founded in 2008 by lighting designer Sohail e. Najafi. After several successful solo years, Sohail joined forces with colleague and long-term friend Joshua Cuellar and incorporated Najafi Design Group LLC in 2013.

Following a period of rapid expansion in 2016, NDG was re-launched as Stories Illuminated Entertainment in early 2017. 

Today Stories Illuminated™ brings together the efforts of over five decades of cumulative design and production experience, specializing in lighting for live production, television, concert touring, and architectural installation, as well as production management and festival architecture. 

A Nevada Limited Liability Company with offices in Nevada and California, sie™ is fully insured to do business nationwide as well as around the world.
